Milan’s Metropolitan Area is one of the most densely populated and industrialised areas of Italy and Europe with more then three million citizens. It is likely that in future years the area will undergo structural modifications that will further “connect” the newly integrated territory.
I’ve chosen to explore an area that lies just outside today’s city centre. I’ve followed an imaginary circular line as an invisible boundary that separates the known from the unknown. An excuse to document an urban territory in expansion, where the city exists but it is only perceived; where nature is not beautiful, but it could be.
